No, we didn't come here to shop gold. We sold gold to them. hahaha. At Najma St. there's a Jewellery (yep, that's how they spell it) shop located near the strip of salons, tailorings, and optical clinics. My uncle said they buy gold for a bigger price compared to the other souqs. i haven't been here because i thought gold buyers are situated in souq waqif. so i went with them to see some gold and practice my photography skills as well.charing.
It was 8:45 in the evening and the shop will close an hour after so we had to make haste and enter the door. the shop was full of gold accessories - from bangles to rings to signature armlets. actually, i don't like to wear gold in public. personally, whenever I wear gold adornments, my life would be very fragile since thieves and pick pockets will be staring on my bling-blings and just waiting for the right moment to slit my throat and steal the gold plus i look like a Hepatitis B patient, so yellow.
We sold scrap gold for a big price from an Indian gold smith. i didn't know that India is the number 1 producer of gold in the world, of course, di pa rin patatalo ang mga pinoy, we're number 2. i didn't make up the numbers, i eavesdropped when my tita and tito were discussing gold mining. hehe.We made it home by 9:30 pm, tita was fulfilled since she sold the scrap gold and bought a new pair of earrings. nice trade, tita.
